Nets:
Individual teams are responsible for the set-up and take-down of nets. Nets must be returned immediately after the game by the team responsible for take-down so the nets are available for games the next day. (See League schedules for assignments)
Field Lining:
Initial lining is done by ASA or the city prior to the start of each season. Home teams scheduled for net set-up are responsible for ensuring that their field is mowed and lined in accordance with individual League (WAGS, ODSL, NCSL) rules. Paint and lining equipment is kept with the nets. Call ahead to netkeeper to confirm paint supply.
Field Conditions - If anyone notices any problem (long grass, fading paint, etc...) with the field condition, contact Todd Carroll todd.a.carroll@navy.mil To get the grass cut, we have the work with the City of Alexandria. The city has been very responsive in the past, however, they are dealing with budget cutbacks like everyone. When telling me about the length of grass please do not exaggerate. If it is a little long, don’t say it is unplayable. If there is a real issue, Todd will report to the city and get resolved. He does not want to change the city from the normal cutting schedule unless it is absolutely necessary.
